Armament Test & Maintenance Facility

Reliant Construction completed a $9.5 million armament test and maintenance facility at Yuma Proving Grounds in Yuma, Arizona, for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The project consisted of a 22,000-square-foot aviation hangar and a 60,000-square-foot aircraft apron, purpose-built to support the electronic testing and evaluation of Apache and Comanche helicopters.

Project Overview

Designed to meet the rigorous demands of military operations, the facility provides a controlled environment for advanced aviation testing and maintenance. The hangar includes four service bays and integrated office space, allowing for efficient workflow between operational and administrative functions.

Scope of Work

The project included construction of a four-bay hangar equipped to handle specialized aviation systems and testing requirements. A dedicated DC power source was incorporated to support high-level electronic evaluation equipment critical to mission readiness.

In addition, Reliant constructed a 60,000-square-foot apron with two green pads, creating a durable and functional exterior space for aircraft staging, maneuvering, and support operations.
