Reliant Construction partnered with ownership to bring Royal City Barber to life inside a historic downtown building. This project transformed an underutilized commercial space into a modern, high-functioning barbershop designed for both client experience and operational efficiency.

This renovation wasn’t just about construction—it was about creating an environment.

The finished space features a thoughtfully designed layout with multiple barber stations, a custom reception area, and a dedicated bar/lounge component, all working together to create a welcoming, elevated atmosphere for customers. Custom millwork elements—including handcrafted barber stations and cabinetry—were designed to give the shop a distinctive, high-end feel while maximizing daily functionality.

From the moment clients walk in, the space is designed to feel open, clean, and intentional—balancing modern finishes with the character of the original structure.

Blending Historic Character with Modern Function

Located within a large, mixed-use building, the project required careful coordination to preserve the existing heavy timber structure and historic elements while adapting the space for a new use.

Reliant Construction created a new interior opening within the original structural system—executed in coordination with engineering—to improve flow and connectivity throughout the shop.

Existing materials, including wood flooring and exposed elements, were restored and refinished to maintain authenticity while elevating the overall aesthetic.
