The City of Las Animas partnered with Reliant Construction to deliver this multi-use Recreation Hub designed to enhance community access, infrastructure, and outdoor amenities through the City’s Sourcewell purchasing cooperative.
Project Overview
A key component in this project’s success was Reliant Construction’s ability to guide the City of Las Animas through the Sourcewell cooperative purchasing process while allowing the City to retain full control of the project. By leading City stakeholders step by step through procurement, contract utilization, and compliance requirements, the team reduced unnecessary complexity and kept the project moving efficiently without compromising quality or schedule.
Using the Sourcewell contract enabled the City to bypass a lengthy bidding process while still meeting public procurement standards, since the cooperative has already satisfied competitive bid requirements. Combined with GOCO grant funding, this approach maximized both time and budget efficiency for the City of Las Animas.
