CU Denver Lynx Crossing Dining Renovation

Reliant Construction was selected to complete the renovation of the food service and dining areas at the Lynx Crossing Residence Hall on the University of Colorado Denver campus. Working in partnership with Sodexo and the University of Colorado Denver, our team delivered a modernized dining environment designed to improve functionality, operational flow, and the student dining experience.
This project involved the renovation and reconfiguration of the existing cafeteria and food service areas, including demolition, infrastructure upgrades, equipment relocation, and installation of new finishes and systems throughout the space.
Scope of Work
The Lynx Crossing renovation included:
- Selective demolition of existing food service counters, walls, fixtures, and utilities
- Removal and relocation of commercial kitchen and serving equipment
- Electrical disconnect and reconnect services throughout the cafeteria area
- Plumbing, HVAC, and low-voltage coordination
- New lighting and ceiling improvements
- Millwork and serving station upgrades
- Installation of updated food service infrastructure and finishes
- Coordination with university operations to minimize disruption within the occupied residence hall
The project required close coordination between architectural, engineering, food service, and facility management teams to successfully integrate new systems within the existing facility.
