Reliant was selected to provide comprehensive general contracting support for the removal and replacement of escalators 1–5. Our scope included demolition, reconstruction, electrical upgrades, and interior finishing. The project required both structural and aesthetic improvements while maintaining strict safety and operational standards within a high-traffic facility.
SCOPE OF WORK
Our team managed a wide-ranging scope of work, including:
Temporary Barriers & Safety Systems
• Installed 8-foot high barricade wall panels with secure electronic keypad access
• Built temporary drywall partitions between escalators for controlled work zones
• Provided safety signage, floor protection, and secure access points throughout the project
• Coordinated safe entry and exit paths for escalator removal and installation
Demolition & Structural Modifications
• Performed selective demolition of walls, drywall, and framing in key areas
• Completed floor saw cutting and concrete patching at escalator access points
• Removed and replaced drywall and structural components in multiple rooms
• Reconfigured interior spaces (Rooms 107, 130, and 138) to accommodate new escalator systems
Interior Construction & Finishes
• Installed new metal stud framing and drywall systems

Fire Protection & Safety Compliance
• Protected and replaced fire sprinkler systems and heads
• Installed fire-rated drywall systems beneath escalators
• Repaired fireproofing on structural steel where impacted
Electrical & Lighting Upgrades
• Installed new LED pit lighting and GFI outlets
