Reliant Construction was selected to deliver a complex, mission-critical aircraft hangar for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, South Pacific Division (Los Angeles District). This design-build project required not only technical expertise across multiple disciplines, but also the ability to perform under the strict standards of a federal military installation.

Project Overview

This 53,066-square-foot C-17 hangar was purpose-built to support heavy aircraft operations while incorporating advanced environmental controls, safety systems, and operational infrastructure. From concept through completion, Reliant Construction oversaw every phase of the design-build process, maintaining strict attention to detail, coordination, and accountability at every step.

Key components included:

Full site grading and utility infrastructure
Post-tension concrete slab construction
Complete mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems
Fire alarm system and High Expansion Foam fire protection system
Mezzanine office space for operational support

Specialized systems:

Six 10-inch environmental monitoring wells
Aircraft wash-water industrial waste treatment plant (IWTP)
Hot water power washing equipment
Sanitary lift station with wet and dry wells
