Arapahoe Parking Garage & CDOT Building
Centennial, Colorado

The Arapahoe Parking Garage and CDOT Building project involved construction of a large-scale, four-story precast concrete parking structure alongside a 65,160-square-foot tenant build-out for the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT).

Project Overview

The project combined significant structural, civil, architectural, and building systems into one comprehensive construction effort. The completed parking garage totaled approximately 244,350 square feet and provided 800 standard parking stalls and 17 ADA-accessible spaces, supporting the needs of the adjacent CDOT facility.

Construction of the four-story parking structure utilized a precast concrete system incorporating architectural colored cast walls, double-tee decks, stone veneer, and three stair towers with precast stairs and two elevators. The foundation system included drilled caissons ranging from approximately 24 to 72 inches in diameter and extending up to 33 feet deep, with poured-in-place concrete grade beams over void material.

The project also included installation of the garage ventilation, mechanical, and plumbing systems.

Within the 65,160-square-foot CDOT tenant space, the team completed offices, truck maintenance bays, storage areas, and a magnesium chloride containment pit—creating a facility capable of supporting both administrative and operational functions.
