Sprung Structure Installation for Aquatic Center Renovation
Reliant Construction completed the structural erection of a Sprung tensioned fabric structure as part of the Regis Jesuit High School Aquatic Center renovation in Aurora, Colorado. Partnering with GH Phipps Construction and Larson Incitti Architects, our team delivered specialized installation services that helped transform the facility into a modern, high-performance aquatic center.
Project Overview
As part of a comprehensive renovation, the aquatic facility required a full enclosure upgrade. Reliant was selected as the structural erector for the engineered Sprung system, providing skilled labor, supervision, equipment, and coordination to ensure safe and efficient installation.
The completed structure delivers a durable, insulated enclosure designed to withstand Colorado’s demanding weather conditions while creating an optimal environment for athletics, swimming programs, and community use.
Structural Installation
Reliant Construction installed the complete structural system forming the aquatic facility enclosure, including:
- Layout, drilling, and installation of anchor bolt systems
- Assembly and erection of structural arches
- Installation of purlins and cable bracing systems
- Assembly and erection of engineered flat-end components
Building Envelope System
- Exterior tensioned fabric membrane installation
- Interior fabric liner installation
- Final structural tensioning and alignment
Insulation System
To enhance energy efficiency and temperature control, we installed a 9-inch (R-30) foil-backed fiberglass insulation system.
Facility Integration & Access Components
Additional installation elements included:
- Framed openings for HVAC ductwork
- Connector corridor installation
- High-traffic double glass entry doors
- Installation of a 17’4″ x 12′ Solar-Lite motorized door system
